About Deborah Brown

Deborah Brown, the founder of DEBPIX, is one of the 1990s OGs in combining online technologies and social activism to promote awareness and change. Her diverse family background along with her passion for social issues and politics has been evident throughout her life.

As an advocate for promoting diversity, Deborah's own family exemplifies the values she holds dear. Her mother, a Native American, instilled in her a sense of heritage and the importance of cultural preservation. Deborah's life-long varied cultural interests and exposure as well as her own daughter, multiracial with Black, Native American, and Caucasian heritage, further reinforced her commitment to celebrating diverse backgrounds.

With grandchildren representing the previously mentioned ethnic groups as well as Hispanic roots, Deborah's family serves as a microcosm of the multicultural world she envisions. Her nephew's Asian heritage also adds to the richness of their family tapestry.

After spending many years in the corporate world, Deborah embarked on a more creative journey later in life. Through her design, art, photography, and books, her mission is to promote appreciation for decor styles and objects of the past, emphasize the value of accepting our imperfections, counter detrimental narratives, promote awareness and diversity, other purpose-driven endeavors, and more.

Deborah's strong interest in social issues and politics has been a driving force in her life. She believes that by understanding and learning from history, society can evolve into a better version of itself. Her dedication to promoting diversity and countering derogatory and undermining narratives has inspired her to delve into creative endeavors that challenge societal norms and trends and encourage acceptance.

DEBPIX, the company Deborah founded, stands as a testament to her visionary thinking and commitment through the combination of creativity and a passion for social change. Deborah Brown's life has been dedicated to promoting diversity, learning from history, and making a positive impact on society.
