Photography Style
My style tends to appreciate and focus on remnants of the past — prompting a bit of nostalgia, I suppose, and with artistic aesthetics reminiscent of past camera technologies and interesting color effects. I also love old world style — or Tuscan, in particular — and all things architecture too. Having missed my opportunity to be an architect (my first professional dream and love), I can at least continue to appreciate and capture architectural elements that fill me with awe. Growing up and living on the coast of Maine, all things coastal will endure my camera's focus as well. Maine and New England, in general, offer an abundance of opportunities to capture subjects that reflect the past and the beauty of our wonderful, rocky, coastline.

Digital Art Style
A medium I have been exploring for a short amount of time, I haven't committed to any one style but definitely lean toward the unexpected. I hope you enjoy this growing part of my collections.

Juxtaposition
I suppose my love for old is in contrast with my progressive 35+ years in technology fully embracing change and the future. My values tend to also be progressive. While the two aren't necessarily diametrically opposed, it surprises some people who know me professionally or socially that my heart and visual eye tends to gravitate toward what appears to be an opposite direction. It is quite possible to be both progressive and one who finds beauty in and appreciates certain elements of the past. In life and art, these aren't mutually exclusive.

Fine Art
It's in this arena that I can push myself, experiment, learn new and refine existing techniques, and be most expressive. I have a unique voice in this artistic medium that is all my own and I want to express it. I want to share it.

All photographic images originate as Digital Photographs. Many are transformed and could be further described as Digital Art or Digital Paintings.
